CLOGS! BY SWEDISH HASBEENS

Me wearing: my new Swedish Hasbeens Braided sandals, with Paige Denim jeans, a Petit Bateau tee, Uniqlo cardigan.

Inspired by the clogs worn in the south of Sweden in the ’70s, Swedish Hasbeens have gained a cult following since their launch in 2007. Made by hand in the original factories, they’re the real mccoy.

I’ve toyed with the idea of acquiring a pair for a few summers now, but this year I could resist their clompy charm no longer!
Choosing which pair wasn’t as easy as I thought. After umm-ing and ahh-ing online I headed to the Swedish Hasbeens pop-up shop in Shoreditch... and tried on um, pretty much every style from the original flat design to Sky High heeled Heart sandals
Finally I settled on the classic Braided Sky High design in black, which comes with the highest heel Swedish Hasbeens do, however I am happy to report they’re still super easy to walk in (definitely down to the clog-like platform at the front), making them ideal for weekend jaunts.

This frankly shite May weather means I wore my new Braided Swedish Hasbeens with colourful Happy Socks on their first outing, which is actually a good way to wear them in a bit.

SAY IT WITH SWEATS

Me wearing: my new 'STAY CLA$$Y' sweatshirt by Illustrated People, with Banana Republic trousers and Office shoes.

Forget tees, sweatshirts are where to wear your slogans this summer, and no one’s saying it better than Illustrated People.
The London based label’s cool mix of witty slogans and original prints sets them apart from the rest, whilst their reasonable price tag (just £45 each) makes them fun purchases you can go to town on!
...Is it any wonder I couldn’t resist these two beauties from the summer collection, both currently available at Topshop... whilst stocks last!

THE RETURN OF THE SUMMER SCARF

Me wearing: my new shell print Louis Vuitton stole with a Marni leather jacket, Stella McCartney skirt and Michael Kors watch.

Finally warmer weather has arrived! And it’s out with the heavy layers and in with light leather jackets and bare legs, but no switch to summer dressing would be complete without a feather weight scarf.
This fine cashmere and silk mix stole by Louis Vuitton is the latest addition to my wardrobe and will be my season-long security blanket (I live in fear of being cold). I’ll wear it with jackets until the summer sun really kicks in and then I’ll drape it over my shoulders in the evenings. Plus its generous size means it doubles up as a sarong on beach holidays. What's not to love?
Top summer scarf tip: keep the colour/print neutral and pale so it goes with everything and doesn't look too heavy layered with jackets.
