OBSESSION DU JOUR: THE CAMBRIDGE SATCHEL COMPANY

Me wearing: my new personalised satchel by The Cambridge Satchel Company, with a Whistles jacket, Oasis sweater,
Paige Denim jeans and Marc by Marc Jacobs pumps.

I’ve had my eye on The Cambridge Satchel Company’s chic satchels for a while now but couldn’t decide on a colour (they range of classic tan to fashion-tastic fluro) until now...
After a major wardrobe clear-out last week (unheard of for me), there was an opening for a red day bag and this little beauty fit the bill perfectly!
The Cambridge Satchel Company’s ‘Classic’ satchel is available in four sizes, and I went for the smallest style, it’s 11” and fits all my daily essentials (bare essentials mind you, but that’s a good thing).
And here’s the really fun bit: The Cambridge Satchel Company offers an embossing service so you can personalise your bag too! I’ve had my initials embossed in gold (but black, silver and blind embossing are also available).
Within a matter of days my mini red satchel had been delivered from the Leicestershire factory, where The Cambridge Satchel Company produces everything and I’m absolutely loving it!

P.S I’m obsessed with their trunks too!

THE IN-BETWEEN JEAN

Me wearing: my new Paige Denim Verdugo jeans, with a Gap tee and Tibi sandals.

September is a funny time of year style-wise, the shops are filling up with coats and other new season delights but it’s not quite cold enough for the autumn/winter collections, plus the weather’s all over the place, and it's sod's law that the day you wear your new wooly jumper it'll suddenly be 25ยบ baking sunshine, but hang on to your summer clothes too long and you’ll be shivering at the bus stop on your way to work.
Enter Paige Denim’s new Verdugo printed jeans. They’re light and bright giving the illusion of late summer dressing (which is technically where we are in the year, until the clocks go back in October) without the horror of goose bumps! And the geometric design, which is available in three different colour-ways, looks just as chic with a lightweight tee and sandals, as it does a chunky sweater and high-tops, making them trans-seasonal perfection!

KA-POW! BANG! WOW! 3.1 PHILLIP LIM‏ HAS ARRIVED!

Me wearing: 3.1 Phillip Lim's KA-POW t-shirt, with jeans by Habitual and Rupert Sanderson shoes.

I can't get enough of all the pop art-tasic fashion that's around at the moment, in particular New York based label, 3.1 Phillip Lim's graphic Roy Lichtenstein inspired motifs.
Fun, eye-catching, and very cool, these cartoon prints, knits and appliqued designs, sit cleverly amongst the fabulous tailoring and gorgeous leather pieces that make up the rest of the 3.1 Phillip Lim autumn/winter '12 collection.
Frankly I'm obsessed with the lot but particularly 'The Break-up' jumper: colourful, cosy and bursting with attitude, it's the epitome of a trophy sweater!
My-Wardrobe.com have already sold out once, however I'm happy to report stocks have been replenished! But something tells me this lot won't be hanging around for long...

3.1 Phillip Lim's coordinating KA-POW sweater, and BANG patchwork leather clutch.

Smitten: 3.1 Phillip Lim's The Break-up sweater.

LIGHTS, CAMERA (PURSE), ACTION!

Thrilled: me, with my ever so chic Lulu Guinness camera purse.

I remember when I got my first iBook and spent the first six months carrying it around in a pashmina, before I found a laptop case I deemed chic enough. But never has a search taken longer than finding a case for my camera! And given I carry my camera everywhere with me, it’s certainly a necessary accessory. I’d looked in so many shops and searched and searched on the internet to no avail... Until last week! When I was browsing Lulu Guinness’ new collection of ‘purses’ online and there it was, the answer to my to my camera case preys!
I’ve always been a fan of Lulu Guinness’ fun, quirky aesthetic, here are a few more delights from her latest offering that I couldn’t resist sharing:

BIRTHDAY TREATS!

My birthday always marks the end of the summer for me and these two lovely pressies from a couple of my friends (who know me very well) are my first foray into autumn/winter '12.
One of my oldest buddies, Claire Roebuck, bought me a Chanel Rouge Coco lipstick in shade 19 Gabrielle. I’ve been after a red lipstick for a while and it’s the perfect hue for my complexion. There’s something really gorgeous about receiving a little luxurious package for your birthday and a Chanel lipstick feels like a grown-up treat. Plus after a summer of wearing lip gloss, I’m ready for some striking lip colour.
And for autumn/winter ’12 red isn’t just for lipstick, it’s one of my favourite colours any way, so I’ll be embracing the trend fully this season. And what a great place to start this glass bead, metal and woven necklace from Zara, bought for me by my pal Louise Nicola, is! I love the mix of matt gold and black with red, and all the tiers and textures it has. This necklace is the perfect piece to throw over t-shirts, and knitwear when the autumn chill sets in.
Thank you gorgeous girls!
